The AIRB regularly to review rate filings and conduct other business, ensuring auto insurance is accessible, equitable and sustainable for all Albertans. They also hold the Annual Review Open Meeting.
The AIRB may exempt insurers who write only fleet or garage experience rated risks from the filing requirements. The insurer requesting an exemption must submit the Fleet Confirmation Form through CARS and reconfirm the nature of its underwriting activity annually.
This template is only required for private passenger vehicle filings and should be uploaded to CARS under the Documents/Attachments tab.
